YouTube Kids App Reviews

My preschooler loves this apps. Lots of educational content mixed with other cartoons she loves HOWEVER the new update took away parents ability to block content. It was brought back by YouTube after being eliminated now it is once again gone. For this reason we no longer have the app. Without the ability for parents to filter inappropriate content (which there is A LOT of for an app designed for kids) it is no longer of any use to us. Parents beware. Even selecting content for preschoolers does not ensure they are watching safe videos. Lots of violence and disturbing content for kids of any age.

Is a nice game so you can watch TV on your phone! ♥️

I downloaded this app while visiting my parents in Florida last week. I got back home to find out it didn’t work as I live in Quebec (Gatineau)... literally 10 minutes from Ontario. I’m very disappointed that due to our location, we cannot access this app. I find it unacceptable that since its launch in Canada in 2015, YouTube has not yet found solutions to integrate this app in the province of Quebec.

However, it would be better if channels could be blocked and not just videos.

I HATE THIS FREAKING CRAP OF TORTURE. SOME OF THE VIDEOS YOU HAVE ON HERE THROW THE F BOMB IN IT. THAT IS NO WAY TO MAKE A SUPPOSED TO BE FOR KIDS APP AT ALL. And here is my theory of how this crap app came to be... (Producer) Oh I have an idea! Let’s make a YouTube kids app that has all baby stuff with swears in it! (Others) Oh! What a wonderful idea! Then sadly they made the app and destroyed mankind happily ever after. Also, one more thing I forgot to point out is how stupid they are to take out no commentary videos and call them BAD FOR KIDS and replace them with the “lovable” world of swears And whoever read this whole thing PLEASE HEAR MY PLEAD AND NEVER BUY THIS CRAP LOAD.

This is an awesome app for my child Jaycee because normal YouTube is not great for my child Jaycee because the videos are very bad just saying

A lot of inappropriate content in this app that my parents don’t know about. Some videos are not on here but they are not even bad! I can’t even watch the Drago Adventure full gameplay. Sadly there is no liking, disliking, commenting, subscribing, and something that can be useful. Descriptions! Sorry. Gotta stick to normal YouTube right now.

My little son have used it for more than 6 months. The content is safe for kids. I recommend this app for parents who want to protect their kids away from garbage on youtube.

The app is good for my 2 year old but my only problem is that you cant choice the language of the recommended video... Im trying to teach my child English and videos are showing up in Spanish and Chinese....
